Forbes profiles Air Force hurricane exercise hosted at Chennault

Forbes magazine was on-site at Chennault to cover the just-concluded Swamp Devil exercise by the 621st Contingency Response Wing.

The story offers up-close detail about the training for emergency response after a disaster.

The article by Jim Clash is titled “USAF Exercise Swamp Devil Tests Hurricane Prep During Pandemic.”

Clash was embedded with the wing for the duration of the exercise.

He noted: “My experience at Exercise Swamp Devil with the Contingency Response Wing was a positive one. In addition to flying on the C-130, I was able to tour the cockpits and cargo areas of the giant C-17 and C-5 Super Galaxy aircraft, workhorses for the USAF, even marshal them out for takeoff. I was impressed with the professionalism of all the airmen I met.”
