July 9, 2018

LAKE CHARLES — Andrea LaFleur has been promoted to Director of Executive and Airport Affairs at Chennault International Airport Authority.

LaFleur has worked under five administrations at Chennault after starting at the airport 24 years ago as a receptionist.  From there she rose through the ranks to become executive assistant, a position she held for the last 10 years.

LaFleur’s tenure and reputation at Chennault enable her to make significant strategic impacts for the airport and the community.

“Andrea, along with all of Chennault’s personnel, are a foundation for the successes of years gone by, but more importantly the key to the success Chennault is expected to drive in the future,” said Chennault Executive Director Kevin Melton. “Her proactive leadership in guiding and directing the many issues to grow Chennault into a strong economic base for Southwest Louisiana is but one reason she was selected to serve in this critical leadership role at the Chennault International Airport.”

LaFleur graduated from Kinder High School and the Delta School of Business, with a major in Business Management. She is married with three children and one grandchild.
